Why I chose this character:
Mutio’s design has always been fascinating to me, as is the entire story of Blue Sub. Major thanks to my friend Jenny for helping me create a costume of this haunting and captivating character.

How I made this costume:
The bodysuit was airbrushed by Jenny while I wore it. We then created the headpiece by molding it to my forehead and down my cheekbones, and constructing the ears so they fit over mine. The wig was hand done and is attached to the headpiece. I hand-sewed on the fins and added feathers to the front. I did my own make-up at A-kon.

Thoughts on this costume:
I got a good reaction at the con and probably weirded out a bunch of people. Nonetheless, the year after I was still remembered at the con for this little costume, to my great surprise.
