Why
I chose to make this costume:
I love Betsy and X-men in general so this was a great first
for me! There are SO many Psylocke versions out there it was really
hard to choose one. In the end my friend Alechan
(Storm) and I wanted to match and chose Uncanny X-men, mainly because
the artwork was gorgeous!
How I made
this costume:
I styled the purple wig with a side part and trimmed
layers into it. I
made up patterns for most of this costume, and the
material I used was a heavy 2-way stretch lycra that ended up being
a dream to sew. I wanted to use purple and red (sash) instead of
the popular blue and pink simply because I like that color combo
better, and I had no scar according to the reference.

on this costume:
The X-men
group we put together at Starfest was a blast! I love all my fellow
mutants, they all looked so awesome! The cast:
